The Stovall Family

It's always a good time working with the Stovall Family.  They are beautiful, their locations are awesome and it's never a dull moment !!  This was an extra special shoot !  The kids  have seen me a lot over the past 2 years and I think they've finally gotten used to me having the camera in their face.  We reached a new level me and Will and I'm so happy!  Here's to many more shoots watching this beautiful family grow <3

It's just a temporary setback...

Friday night it was brought to my attention that there had been a leak somewhere in the ceiling of my studio causing the tiles to break through and water to fill the space.  First reaction- OMG!  But, thankfully, upon further inspection, it's not as bad as it sounded.  Finding the leak is the biggest problem at the moment, and we'll def. have to replace the ceiling.. but only minor damage was done to my backdrops and such.  The biggest damage was done to my computer that sat on the desk.  Water ran in it and filled it right up.. not a good thing : /  Repairing what has been done will certainly set me back.  With a full plate of shoots and no space or time to reschedule, it's a little disappointing.  When it rains, it pours, and this time, right in my studio.    I shall push on :)

Happy 1st Birthday Tate !!

Little Tate is such a handsome fellow :)  We've been all over for his one year package and made some of my favorite photos along the way !!  He also loved his cake for his cake smash ! ( lately, most of my little ones have not )  Happy Birthday Buddy !!

Such a fun family !  We went out to a great location not far from the hometown to get these beautiful photos! Shelley, aka mom, has something awesome up her sleeve ! Buuutt... you will all have to wait for that, it's top secret :)

Logan was a fun, laid-back kind of gal :) A definite keeper in my books! She trusted me to get her some great photos without a lot of hassle! I think we accomplished that! 

A new year- a new beginning!

I am ecstatic about a new year beginning.  For one, I will be starting my new life as a mother of 3 children.  Also, I will be entering a new phase in my life that I have worked so hard for.  Many changes to come to my career.  I will become a photography boutique.  I will specialize in what I love best and focus on that solely.  Each shoot is going to be custom in every way.  I'm not going to get into it too much right now, but big changes are coming to Vanessa Lewis Photography.  There will be many places to get your family photos done, but when you come to me, you will be getting an experience like no other.  Instead of doing 50 shoots a month, I will be doing 15.  That's 15, incredible, specific, all created for you sessions.  Even the products are amazing! I can not wait and I also can't wait for all the extra time I will be able to have at home with my growing family.  I have missed out on a lot these past 2 years; every recital, talent show and Sunday afternoon with them.  I think I've finally figured out the balance!

I love the fact that we live and we learn and there is always a chance for a new beginning.  Stay tuned for all the exciting updates!
